Cascabel Mexican Patio

I really really love the food and outdoor eating area here. Food is tasty and authentic. I wish they opened for breakfast as much of their menu is breakfast type foods. The one dish there that needs improvement is the chilaquiles. They were plain tortilla chips with an egg on top, however I had ordered salsa for the table so I poured salsa on top of the tortilla strips which is closer to what chilaquiles should be like in my experiences. I will still go there when it fits my schedule because I like the food however it’s difficult given they don’t open for breakfast.

Great authentic Mexican food. The flavors are authentic, such as Mexican homemade foods. The Café de olla was perfect, really recommended. I had the Machacada plate and it was good, the meat was not salty as other restaurants. I enjoyed this place very much. Recommended if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, not tex-mex.

Oh, my God! This restaurant is by far one of my best places in San Antonio. The food is so good, so many flavors. It is consistent, the service is great, friendly and respectful especially. We definitely come back to our next trip. We had the Choriqueso tacos, Torta de asada and Enmoladas .

Cafe de ollo was delicious! Great place for brunch. Very attentive staff. Seat in the indoor and outdoor areas. Paid parking was available in the game next door for $10. Was able to treat nutritional restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

Fantastic lunch! Servers were excellent and personal. Homemade soup was very good. Pig and chicken dishes were great. The beans were the best I ever had. The cold salad is not something I would normally eat, but was good. Very recommended.
