sun; Aug. 14 — There was a power failure throughout the city. I went about 30 minutes and tried to find somewhere for lunch. They were open, even without electricity. Even while it rains, the windows have a lot of natural light. Their gas heart deep frit we still work, they said – if I asked if they are still open (in contrast to everywhere else). I would not have held it against them if they had to turn away the guests, but I guess they fed me: I have the “Bar-Tenders” (The French Frittier Plate). ****! Definitely above average!
