The food here was quite good and very nicely seasoned. I'm not sure how the waiter did it but he arranged for there to be just the perfect amount of 'heat' i.e. spice in our meals (mine was a bit hotter than my wife's). This meant we could taste all the various delicious flavours without having our lips burned off or being bored by bland food. I guess this must be a testament to the skill of the chef and/or the quality of the ingredients. The menu is rather simple and some of the things I assumed would be on it e.g. nan and some side dishes were absent. Today we have visited the curryhouse and are delighted with the quality of the food and the newly renovated premises. In particular, the Mango-Chutney did it to us because it is not the usual stuff, but also contains small banana and strawberry pieces, which is a special note to all. The Mango-Lassi is also not as sweet as most of the other Indians, but slightly acidic and therefore much more savory. We had two vegetarian dishes (Tofu Tandoriart, Malai juices), which were very different, but both were extremely delicious.

I've been eating curry for the best part of 50 years - this was one of the best indian meals i've had and one of the best meals in any restaurant. The food was cooked for each of the four us exactly as each individual had requested. (I like very hot and spicy whereas my wife likes the indian spice but can't stand any heat). The ambience was great - Om treated all of his guests like friends and spent time with them without imposing. Service was excellent and the price great.
Went there with 10 friends. Actually because we read about Curryhouse here on TA. The cousine here is really fantastic and service likewise. On top of that the price i also fair. I tasted a few of my friends food and it is quite empressing the way the work with spices like cinnamon, so I have to give them full house for the overall experience
If you like indian curry dishes - you should try this place in Kiel. We had the traditional checken curry and Tandorri chicken - and the dishes were excellent presented and very tasty. We can only recommend this place if you like a good curry

Excellent food prepared by the Indian Owner/Chef. An up-to-date modern Indian menu that looked great and tasted great.
