Not entirely sure what happened here. We visited this place a few times, it looked perpetually closed. When we finally saw they had tables and chairs set up outside we went in for lunch to find a great majority of the tables unoccupied so we were confident of getting a table, also both tables outside were empty. I freely admit we were not dressed to the nines but not scruffy by any means and we are a newly retired respectable couple; they claimed they were fully booked. We tried to make a reservation for another day (in Spanish) but were told they had no availability. Strange. Very strange indeed.
Decoración agradable. Servicio amable. Carta corta y además había platos que faltaban. Buena presentación de platos. Cocina bien elaborada. Raciones un poco escasas. Vinos caros. Habitas baby con foie 4/5, tomates con capellán 4/5, rabo de toro 5/5, fabada 4/5. Todo está bien excepto el precio. Pidiendo el vino más barato, dos entrantes, tres platos principales un café y ningún postre salimos a 30€ perdona. En resumen local 4/4, Servicio 4/4, Cocina 5/5. Calidad precio 3/5. This restaurant provides very good dishes from the north of Spain to a very high standard.they only open from Monday to Friday. I have spent many afternoons in this restaurant . The staff and chef are all you could wish for. The wines are well selected and at a reasonable price.if you like a steak their meat is from Leon and is of very good quality. It is best to book.for me it is one of the best restaurants in Alicante and I live here.
4 of us had lunch here on 26/12/2014 , trying out a number of different dishes because I quite like Northern Spain cooking but the food here struck me on the heavy side . for example , I have eaten veal cheeks in many restaurants , here is the first time I saw it served topped with an oily sauce . add to that the relatively high pricing , it does not make the grade for me . Uno de los sitios donde degustar comida casera de 10 .Es otro nivel, todo casero. Calidad precio excelente Hace mucho que no comía patatas fritas de acompañamiento hechas al momento. No sabría decir el plato que me gusta más, hoy he comido bacalao y de 1 a 10 le doy un 11. Espectacular
