it was a quiet night when I went but food was really good. i went for the better omakase menu - sashimi was really really good. the foie gras chawanmushi was interesting, the quail was SO good, the swordfish fillet thick succulent but so juicy... each portion was small but by the time i got to the fried rice, i couldn't take another bite. only disappointment would be the dessert of their homemade dorayaki (pancake was too dry) and i don't take wasabi so the wasabi ice cream was lost on me. other than that, it was a great little place to go - love that they cater to maximum 16 diners at a time so it's never too crowded. the chef of course put on some theatrics - the onion volcano was really c...

Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by name when we waled through the sliding door and had the place to ourselves! The saki menu was explained to us. When i explained i couldnt drink Alcohol my partner was given the run through of the saki and the chef had been listening and made note of this and asked was it ok for him to use alcohol in his cooking. Big tick from me for asking. We asked the chef for the food recommendation and we had the steak and seafood combo which was both delicious and filling. A combination of fresh delicious goodness, prepared infront of our eyes with skill and passion. A wonder to behold and a joy to eat. Thank you.

It's such a tiny little restaurant. I think it only seats about 12 people and you must book ahead. It's just such good fun, interesting food and it will push the boundaries just a little bit (Fancy Quail custard? ) Of course you get the whole show - I enjoyed the onion volcano and the flashing blades. It is expensive and we went with gift vouchers from the children, but for a special anniversary or a real treat, why not think about it? For an excellent meal at a more reasonable price you can try the sister restaurant, Tsunami, which shares the main kitchen with Fuku.

Been here twice now and loved it. Once for the best menu and once for the cheaper walk in menu.Alot of thought has gone into the whole experience, even the toilet (I had to sneak in for a peak as they only have the Japanese toilet in the ladies) anyway, we digress! We had the same chef both times and he was great! Walk in on a tue/ wed when it's not so busy and you might get the chef to yourself! The food matched our experience, we enjoyed the fresh seafood and wagyu beef and a few other bits and pieces. All beautiful.
