Gallier's Restaurant Oyster Bar

My son was adventurous and ordered the alligator bites as an appetizer. I was hesitant to try them at first, but they ended up being yummy. As people mentioned, it tastes like chicken! I ordered the salmon with green beans. The salmon was seasoned well and was delicious. I normally don’t eat green beans, but it was the better of the side choices and I actually thought they tasted great. My son ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and he thought it was delicious as well. We would definitely return.

It's hard to settle on a restaurant near Bourbon Street because there are so many choices. But, bases on the time of day (around 3) and our preference for seafood, we decided on Galliers.First of all, the staff was amazing. So friendly and down to earth! I felt that we were well taken care of.The food? Bomb! I wasn't mad at our choice at all. I was happy that this was the place for our first restaurant visit this trip to New Orleans.

Oh my my my, the Oysters are amazing, we did the pick 3 special! We also had the seafood pasta(large and tasty), gumbo(small bowl but okra base was wonderful),shrimp poboy(just check the pics) and that damn Cheesecake(large and savory)!Wheelchair accessibility: It's a bit tight, however It could easily accommodate.

Walked and greater promptly. Excellent food and drink. Hurricane was very strong, luckily I'm walking. The poboys are huge and will fill you up. It's alot mire shrimp than bread for sure. The cheese cake is huge and taste great. Definitely coming back.Food: 5/5

Great food and service. This was our first eating experience in New Orleans. Gallier’s set the bar high. We enjoyed the red snapper and seafood platter for lunch.
