first, it would be difficult to give an evaluation for the restaurant without taking into account the hotel itself. the west is a stylish and modern hotel and the restaurant fits perfectly to this setup. it is a comfortable place to be and to relax, either by breakfast, lunch or dinner. eating is as they can expect from a hotel restaurant in this liga and the causal, it is as expensive as these. Nothing from the ordinary, good standard, good quality, nice and friendly service, in some cases exactly what they are looking for especially on a stressful business trip without time to explore the opposite. if they have some time on the other side to explore the city and the many restaurants nearby...

I'm really careful with hotel restaurants. eating is often industrial, unimaginative and badly executed. this is not the case with gazette. our service was very efficient, friendly, helpful and totally in tune with our expectations for fine eating. our octopus appetizer was excellent and creative....We ordered pho and a hamburger, both were great. the only slight failure is that we were not asked how we would like to cook the burger, and it came medium well. overall, our expectations were met and exceeded.

The atmosphere looks nice with a nice view of the street but the service was extremely slow. I am not sure what happened in kitchen but we got our food about an hour after we ordered. Beside the sauces, the food was not good. My...salmon was over cooked and dry. It seems that my daughter’s fillet minion has been sitting on the counter for a long time and it was super dry. We got an apology for the slow service but the food didn’t give us a closure at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Steak was incredibly small and over cooked. Chicken was so over cooked, dry and tasteless. The dipping sauce for the chicken was good. The ribs were very tasty. Refills of ice tea were not offered despite the tiny glasses. Nonetheless, the waitress was polite and...courteous. Overall, supper at Madison’s on St-Antoine street was not satisfactory. I do not recommend this restaurant.

we were actually in the intercontinental, but have eaten several times in the gazette. the food was good, my group had breakfast, dinner and evening snacks. I love the burger. the poutine was moderate. look at the breakfast with orange juice....Price and refill are not free.
