Inn Steakhouse at Horseshoe

This year I am trying to embrace winter a bit more which means escaping to local getaways and trying out winter activities. I finally tried out tubing for the first time at HorseshoeValley. It is about one and a half hours north of Toronto and in the Barrie area. You can tube for 3 hours although I lasted about an hour. There are other activities that you can try too such as snow shoeing, skiing, snowboarding and more. Tickets can be purchased in advance and I highly suggest going early for a more quieter and enjoyable experience. They have three session to choose from to do the tubing. I can't comment the rooms because we weren't here. but we used the hose equipment. what a funny time! We went on Thursday night and we were literally the only 11 people there! The staff was super friendly and fun.. They took time with our children and asked them if they wanted to be spun before they went down the hills. they were all relatively young and all fantastic! My only complaint is that I get clear in better shape because the little walk from the end of the way back to the lift was quite challenging. (In my defense, the snow was pretty covered with ice, even one of the children told us that they had just expanded the hills, so maybe the first way he stops would have been a shorter wa...

Excellent and unforgettable again! Our best place for family gate, skiing, food and enjoy the hospitality! Very friendly staff who try out their best to accommodate your stay and make it unforgettable. Our special thanks to the manager Jeff from our four-headed family. He has included our needs during our stay! We are repeatable guests of the Horseshoe Resort and our family tradition is here to stay for Christmas. Pet Friendly! This time we took our dog, it made our stay special: only 1 hour from Toronto. Very cozy hotel with new restaurant on the grounds. Pool, jacuzzi, sauna and more.

Had an amazing 2 days snowboard / skiing with my partner. Hill was quite empty during this week's stay, but all the lifts were open as well as trails. The food was excellent and all the staff we met were absolutely amazing and dinner freendly and helpful. The room was big and had everything we needed. It wasn't much for a night when we just slept and infused. Already planning next year with maybe up to 2 nights. The only thing was that there was something dated, but nothing terrible at all.

We stayed a weekend for skiing.Spacious suites with friendly staff. Beginner friendly skiing slopes. Great place to embrace winter activities. Snow tubing, skating ,cross country skiing are also available. It is a 1.5 hours drive from Toronto. Food is bit pricey though!
