He visited a friend in Grand Rapids Michigan, he insisted to take me to Rockford to visit Jody's for her infamous strawberry shortcake, and the restaurant was not disappointed! There were many home favorites on the menu, cheap, but we decided to go right for dessert.......... The Strawberry and Raspberry Shortcakes have won every prize and now I know why! Absolutely delicious, with lots of ice cream, fresh cake and diced strawberries, it was the perfect substitute for dinner! If in the city or just want to support a family owner location stop through this charming Home Style restaurant, there is something amazing for everyone.

Here a few times. The food is always good and is exactly what I needed for the evening after a long day. Would recommend eating here about the competition nearby. Also appreciate their dessert menu. Hits the place after eating one of their burgers.
