We were visiting Heiligenhafen for the second time in the beginning of May, and we liked it just as much this time as last year. As this time of year is Spargelzeit , asparagus season, we had a lot of that. The best asparagus we had was at the restaurant Kappen Plambeck situated close to the harbor. The service was a bit slow, but other than that we were very happy with the food. It is a bit of an art to cook white asparagus to perfection, but these guys did just that.
The menu, with emphasis on fish, seems pretty all right, but what a disappointment when the food arrives. Very basic, flavourless dishes. The fish was overcooked and probably not very good quality to start with. (Frozen? Lots of the ingredients seemed readymade. The waitress was friedly however and the outside area nice, so if you go there skip the food and order a beer.

We were 4x there in 2 weeks now and it was really great delicious food. Every time on the new, friendly staff, good service and excellent food!! Also gluten-free food, due to celiac disease with my daughter, was no problem and worked super! We were fully satisfied and are happy to come back at any time!
Super delicious food and very nice service. Even if the restaurant is well visited, the staff remains very to be found and fast. The rooms are cozy and the noise level is still pleasant when visiting many guests. We will visit the restaurant more often in the future
Very good food and friendly staff. Both fish dishes were very tasty (Pannfisch and captain). The service was attentive, without being intrusive and very friendly. During our next visit to Heiligenhafen we are happy to come back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
Top restaurant. Here we ate a mustard fillet with crabs, roast potatoes and salad plate, as well as large salad plate with salmon fillet. Better isn't going. Very friendly service. You're welcome.
