Location in a small strip mall type space on the second floor. We were quickly welcomed and sitting. We have a hot jasmin tea to drink, so I didn't ask for a drink menu. Make sure to leave the tea stool for a few minutes before pouring! I'm not sure they have one, but it looks like they have a full bar in the corner, so would not hurt to ask! We were looking for dim sum, but they only had a few dim-sum plates in the appetizer section, so we have a gut to share. We got some free peanuts to start having a kind of sauce on them, they were very delicious! Do we have traditional ?juicy? I think they were called. That was steamed pig dumplings, a lot of taste! I didn't care about dipping the sauce...
No fuss busy spot for a pricy Dim Sum brunch. I came at around 1:30 PM on Sunday to skip the lines and we waited for about 5 minutes before getting in. Food: I recommend getting Jasmine tea with dim sum. You order on a paper menu and food comes per order. I would aim for about 2.5 dishes per person. The Fried Shrimp Ball is pretty unique here. It 's both crunchy and soft. Overall, excellent dishes at a price. I would come back for special occasions.
Yes, they charge 18% service charge even for a party of two, and their good is a bit expensive. But. It is very much the case of you get what you pay. Koi Palace uses great ingredients to make yummy dishes that will taste different. The crab we had was on an entire giant platter of egg white, the fried rise was a big pile and well made, the green beans were crunchy and lightly fried. The staff is kindly and attentive.
The food is very good. Service is good. Jasmine tea is tasteless, I don?t like it. Highly recommend the sticky rice with crab, so delicious! You should get there at 9:50AM, they open at 10AM, very crowded, they don?t let customers write down their names before 10AM so at the opening time, everyone allows to come in as the same time.
