La Fontana Italian

We hadn't visited this restaurant in a while, despite living nearby. We weren't sure what to expect since they started offering accommodations. It wasn't very crowded for a Saturday night, but there was a wide variety of food to choose from and the quality and flavors were excellent. One thing we noticed was that the place could use a makeover - it doesn't feel very Italian inside and is quite formal. Adding a modern chic or old-school vintage vibe could make it more popular. We feel like they may be missing an opportunity to improve the overall ambiance.

We stayed for one night, which was sufficient. The bathroom did not have a blind, so we had to use towels for privacy. There were dead bugs on the carpet and mold on the bathroom ceiling. Additionally, the bathroom floor was dirty. The beds had significant dips causing our feet to go numb on the hard raised seams. Despite our complaints, we were told that the hotel was aware of some of these issues. We also sent an email to the owners, but they have not responded.

We hosted my mother's wake in the restaurant area and the staff were exceptional and understanding of all our requirements. The food was delicious and the venue was ideal, with ample parking and conveniently close to the crematorium. We are grateful to everyone at the restaurant for creating a truly memorable day for us.

I was a bit worried as had read some poor reviews. Had the done and stay package which have a very generous allowance for dinner and drinks. Room was lovely and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Great for a stopover. No problems at all.

Enjoyed a day out popped in to the la Fontana for dinner service great, meal was excellent and filling, enjoyed meatballs with spaghetti and the wife had bolognaise Well worth a visit
