Middletons Steakhouse Grill Leamington

When we arrived it was quite quiet, we had a nice table in the window and they had read our notes about needing space for a pram and requiring a high chair. The positives stop there. We have the Sunday lunch menu. The mushrooms were tepid at best. When the mains arrived we were firstly offered the next tables food. When ours arrived it was cold. Sent back to the kitchen to have our food warmed. Took a while for it to return when it did it was warm but there was very little meat, frozen broccoli and frozen, tasteless cauliflower cheese. Won’t be returning.

I was surprised to get a text while on the way to the restaurant, in which it finds that my table around 6.30 again at 8.pm would be needed one and a half hours for an expensive meal is bad! to the happiness the restaurant was quiet on Wednesday evening with only 5 tables, but we will not visit again when these are their conditions. when I booked, there was nothing about how long I could have that table.

Had a lovely Sunday roast. Cooked just right. Plenty of meat and roasted vegetables a lovely Yorkshire pudding too. The mushroom starter was delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly as always. No rushing us. Great. Definitely our favourite place.

Food and overall experience was excellent. Did have an issue with service initially, due mainly to large groups being served. However, once we had spoken to staff this was quickly rectified. Would definitely recommend.

Really nice steak and sides, but let down by very mediocre starters and robotic and careless service. A shame, it could have been so good.
