However, my recent experience was disappointing. When I went to pick up my food, there were two waitresses and two takeout staff members right in front of me, yet it took one of them 6-7 minutes to acknowledge my presence or ask what I needed. I stood there without any assistance. When someone finally helped me, she simply handed me the bag that had been sitting there all along. It shouldn’t take that long to ask if I’m picking up an order and hand over a bag—it could easily be done in about 10 seconds. Modern China Cafe is a vibrant and energetic lounge with a wonderful atmosphere. It features spectacular fireplace seating and serves authentic Chinese cuisine alongside a fantastic mixology bar. You can enjoy small plates and dim sum, as well as family-style portions. Modern China truly stands out as the best place to dine; the atmosphere is friendly and inviting, and the staff is creative and willing to chat about anything. It feels like a family establishment, where everyone is made to feel at home, making each visit a genuinely enjoyable experience.

This restaurant is quite good, although it's definitely more American Chinese cuisine than authentic. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our visit! The service was excellent. We went at 1 PM when it wasn't too busy, so we didn't feel rushed. However, it did take a bit longer for the food to come out, with our first dish arriving about 15 minutes after we ordered. My mother tried the Sidecar from the cocktail menu and absolutely loved it. I highly recommend the spicy crispy roasted chicken!

I've visited Modern China Cafe several times and I've consistently had a fantastic experience. Whether I'm there for their all-day happy hour, delicious desserts, or late-night drinks, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying with friends and family. They provide heated lamps for cooler evenings and umbrellas for outdoor seating during the day. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our waiter, Breeana, called the police on us even though there were still four people sitting at the table. She didn't ask us anything...
