The atmosphere was strange. Around noon on a weekday, several groups of university students came in carrying outside food—not just from other businesses but homemade meals in containers, and I even saw a thermos of soup. This seemed to be a regular thing. Since the café also serves food, I found this quite surprising. I had come here to work, but the place felt more like a noisy university cafeteria with loud conversations, which was really off-putting. I was shocked that the staff didn’t address the outside food at all. I’ve never encountered anything like this before. Does Calgary need more dedicated student spaces on campus?
