Vor einigen Jahren waren wir noch öfter zu Gast im Taormina, bis sich langsam aber spürbar die Qualität drastisch bis nicht mehr zumutbar verschlechterte. So schlecht, dass wir dem Restaurant für lange Zeit den Rücken kehrten, wobei es Anfangs wirklich super gut und lecker war. Jetzt, ca. 3 Jahre später, wollten wir dem Taormina eine neue Chance gehen. Die Lokalität hat sich etwas verändert, es war aber überraschenderweise richtig gut besucht. Es gab zwar noch vereinzelt freie Tische, aber ca. 70% waren belegt an einem SonntagabendDa wir beim Italiener immer Bruschetta vorweg bestellen, war das auch hier und heute so. Have been here again. This is not a fancy restaurant , no style not charmed . Anyway - we were hungry. Friday evening at 7pm nobody in. Italian music was played, one waiter working behind the bar. No attention to us. The menu was handed, no question about the drinks, no talk . The food indeed was good, fresh ingredients. The menu even showed a good range of food. But even when we wanted to pay it was difficult to get any attention . Nobody noticed when the wine was empty.. we were on site with 8 people. the recipe was beautiful and warm. we waited for about 35 minutes to eat. my pizza salami (see photo) was only covered in the mitte with salami. after a note, however, a medium was quickly created. overall it was cheap and ok.

Essen kommt nicht wie ich es bestelle sondern nehmen andere Nudeln. Fahrer unfreundlich. Rufe im Nachhinein 2mal an es geht keiner ran
