Porter's Fried Chicken

I grew up a couple of blocks from this place and have continued going there for over 30 years. I would walk down to the laundromat(which is now Big Bend Liquor), play some Mortal Kombat 2, and then pop in for a Tender, Catfish nug, or Wing Meal with double fries. I now reside in Affton. I still make the drive to this place. Maybe it's the comfort. Personally there are not many places that touch the taste of the chicken especially when it's fresh. In general a lot of their sides leave much to be desired but the chicken in the star here. Fries and Okra extra crispy. You like sweet-ish slaw, this is your place. One other thing. Their hot sauce. Best fried chicken in st. louis hands down. Always comes out hot and fresh, and the white meat is seasoned well and flavorful. Friendly employees and fast service too. Even the prices are great! Try the jalapeño poppers, they do a great job on them.

Best Chicken in STL as confirmed by an entire party of ppl I brought a large amount of Porter's to. Been there a few times and there always seems to be an issue with the credit card reader. Maybe they should get a new system?
