we visited this wonderful place in the frame of a family birthday invitation beginning september. situated in a beautiful environment in front of the beautiful lake of Schwarsee, this gourmet restaurant in the did a gem. excellent food, excellent service, their local and international culinary specialties offer one. wide selection of first class cuisine. catering for individuals, couples, families and groups, these people are profis to visit different and specific catering requirements. we were on this place on a Sunday night. the terrace with view of the lake was beautiful. but waiters were not friendly and attentive. we were not welcome. until 18:30 there is no food strictly. the waitress explained that the kitchen would not open exactly at 18:30. not even a cheese or salami was available. So we paid and left. I'm not coming back here. Why is it so hard to host a host and be friendly?
Great location overlooking the lake and the pre-alps. Very warm welcome by the owners, service impeccable in an atmosphere of cozy modern chalet style. The culinary side is outstanding, fresh and unexpected for the location. The choice of wines is great, it will please any wine lovers. drove through beautiful countryside to get to our destination...getting close to the Alps... so rich and green countryside ....like out of the Sound of Music had a wonderful salad a la Doucettes some fresh greens , Delicious... but the view is what did it...for me and my partner. very busy place... many seniors seemed to be staying in the hotel part.
We spent a very nice day at Schwarzsee. The area is wonderfull plus the lunch, which was perfect. We took as appetizer beef carpaccio, I totally recommend it. It was one of the best I have ever tried. The dessert was also very good, Glühwein-icecrem ! mmmm Delicious. Wine and service could not be better. I will go back for sure.
