Sommersberg - Réservation de table

Das Restaurant bzw. die Wirtschaft war wegen Neubau längere Zeit geschlossen und öffnete erst wieder nach der CoronaLockerung. Montag bis Samstag Mittag ist die Zufahrt per PW erlaubt, am Wochenende hingegen ist dann die Zeit der Bergwanderer und Biker. Parkplätze gibt’s in Gais an der Strasse zur Klinik, sowie am Hebrig gegenüber der AB Haltestelle. Die Erbauer (LandwirtSenioren aus der Nachbarschaft) führen das Restaurant selber und nach unseren Eindrücken machen sie es vorzüglich. Unsere übliche Menüwahl übertrifft in Qualität andere Beispiele, dazu eine aufmerksame freundliche Bedienung sowie eine bemerkenswerte Rundumsicht zum Appenzeller Alpstein und ins Rheintal. Freshly renovated, not yet well known, the view and ambience are great. The staff is motivated. The offering is average compared to surrounding mountain restaurants. The loud music in the kitchen bothered me.

Very nice, very nice, but I think it's a shame that you can reserve on the terrace. Many are hiking and would perhaps just have a drink and then move on. So they wouldn't occupy the seats for hours

High above Gais gelrgen, the access road looks more like a stream bed. But many hikers have found their way there. It was well staffed and the food tasted great. Price performance
