Restaurant Zur Eisernen Hand

On a recent trip from the USA to Viersen Germany, for medical treatments, my family had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Zur eisernen Hand. The owners Anja and Stephan went out of there way to meet our needs and make us more than comfortable!! Not only did they cook and bake foods for our special diets but they emailed us several times prior to our stay to make sure they had everything we would need such as "real cream" for our morning coffee which they brought to our rooms. The rooms were simple but very clean and comfortable... the food at their family owned restaurant was home made, mostly organic and incredible!!! Anja and Stefan are wonderful hosts ! We stayed here during "drupa 2012" in Dusseldorf, Germany. We also hosted a dinner in their banquet room, it was beautifully set up with crisp white linens and the food was absolutely delicious ! I especially enjoyed the dessert, a serving of white mousse, a serving of chocolate mousse and a serving of strawberry puree which was served on a piece of black slate. It was very elegant. They accommated us in every way from doing laundry and ironing to providing us with umbrellas when necessary. If you are ever in this part of Germany (Viersen), this is the place to stay.

We have used this pleasant family run hotel for the past couple of years when visiting the area. The accomodation is pleasant and very clean. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff, tried to help even though our German is far from good.The...food is top class but if you intend to eat there it pays to book a table as it gets extremely busy, its a popular eating place for locals. Always a pleasant experience, we will continue to use this hotel as a first choice when visiting, the NRW area. Réservez une table maintenant

In terms of a restaurant that serves healthy food that tastes great, this is the probably the best restaurant I've ever been to! Bright but cozy ambiance and wonderful service. Their pork with mushroom sauce was amazing. This restaurant & hotel establishment is family-owned, and they clearly care deeply about what they do and it shows.We also stayed at the hotel which was clean, spacious, and very affordable. I would definitely recommend this hotel & restaurant.

We were on our way back home after a holiday. We decided to go to this restaurant, because of the ratings on trip advisor. After checking in' we reached for the menu, but the lady said there is a menu for that they, so no...a la carte. No problem. We had the fish with salad. Very good!! And we first didn't believe the bill. Very very affordable lunch. Simple establishment, absolutly kind people. Not fancy, though you should definitly go there once.

We were finding something healthy, tasty ,simple and affordable restaurant at viersen, this is the one!!! Actually the best go-to restaurant in viersen. Satisfied and we definately go twice and even more if we stay longer.
