Silica Lodge Garden Centre Coffee Shop

Awful experience! We ordered two coffees, a Rainbow cake, and a warm cheese scone. The scone that was served was plain, dry, and tasteless. After taking a bite, we realized it wasn't the cheese scone we ordered. When we mentioned this to the staff, they said the scones are bought in. They brought over a cheese scone that was supposed to be warm, but it was actually cold, dried up, and unpleasant. We decided to just stick with our coffee. The Rainbow cake also wasn't impressive. We won't be returning to this place for our coffee catch-ups.

Dreadful meal. Nut roast was the worse I have ever had. My husband had meat pie which he described as mediocre. They have no allergen listing for customers to look at and when I asked if something had soya the server shouted it across a crowded room to a waitress to go in the kitchen to check.

There are no gluten-free options available for lunch except for a jacket potato. They do not offer any gluten-free cakes or biscuits. If you are looking to eat gluten-free, this is not the place to go.

The food was fantastic, the ambiance was delightful, and the staff were very welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family, and I will definitely be returning.

Unfriendly staff,table clearing and cleaning slow and poor. Some of the food a little over priced The roast beef was very good,but the paninis were a little lacking in quality.
