Easy to pass by as it is down a hallway and down some stairs. Nice atmosphere. We had grilled sausage with sauerkraut very quiet able to have conversation. Food was good and reasonably priced. Can pay with cash or credit. Menu is is4 different languages which is helpful with a limited German. Staff kind and helpful. Glad we stopped for lunch.

The food was authentic Bavarian fare, the beer was Franziskaner Dunkle which is an excellent Munich Hefe Weitzen. The staff were friendly who spoke English, they were very attentive. During a six day visit at the Christmas Markets in Munich we ate there three times, never disappointed.

I had dinner at this restaurant, and I selected Jägerschnitzel mit Spätzli (hunter schnitzel with spätzli). It was good, the meat was juicy although not very tender. The restaurant was quiet, service was good and prices were low.

I had the Spaetzle of course... there was something else vegetarian on the menu that sounded interesting, but I was not feeling adventurous. Not sure what my husband had, but I took photos, and we ate every bite!

we enjoyed Schnitzelwirt for an easy mid-day lunch around 2 pm. It is a bit touristic, but meals are good. also coofee is good, as well as dessert. It is not outstandnig in anything, but a stable good one.
