This is 2 reviews in 1. The lounge was great. In general the service was good and the food was amazing! Our appies brussel sprout and cauliflower bites were great. The seafood ravioli and my burger also so tasty! I would go back, even just for a drink. We also had breakfast in the other side. Both mornings the food was amazing, the omelette, the big breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and potatoes. The smoked salmon bennys were also really good. The thing that got this a 4 out 5 instead of a 5 was the hostess waitress. I literally had to look for her to get us a table and when I found her she was texting. The grumpy service getting us a table was awful. In general I wouldn't complain...
We have expected reservations that it is in the dining room, but it is closed for renovations and they are not in the dining room menu. This was not communicated by any hotel personnel or hosts/servers until we asked. The lounge/terrace menu is different. Drinking was slow to get out. The food was not great (overcrowded fish and chips, fat Sirloin Steak). I think they could be in transition with new employees, so hopefully the service will be better in the coming weeks. We were told when the dining room opens, it will have a new menu.
We had dinner here on two of our three night stay and the service was excellent. The food was well prepared and well presented. The two bartenders who served us were both young fellows from UK and both named James. They were friendly, welcoming, funny and entertaining all while hustling to keep up with the rush of orders from the inside and outside dining areas. The patio views were spectacular but they could benefit from more comfortable seating.
We read a blog that mentioned this place as having the largest patio area in Canmore, so we put it to the test... YUP, they do! The patio is huge and with the large umbrellas you have a great selection of shade or sun. It's a lovely peaceful spot where you can sip on a beer and stare up the mountains. The service was beyond amazing food and drinks were incredible too! 10/10 on all fronts! Réservez une table maintenant
We celebrated our elopement with a mini-honeymoon at Malcom and enjoyed most of our meals at Stirling. From breakfast to dinner, including late-night snacks, we highly recommend everything. The food was a highlight of our trip, featuring fresh ingredients and excellent cooking! Service: Dine-in.
