The Beehive - Réserver une table

Had a decent enough meal at an off-peak time on Sunday afternoon. The wait for both starters and main courses was just about 5 minutes longer than would be reasonable. I ordered a bottle of Barefoot wine, but the one I wanted was the only one not in stock. Typical! The barman did offer me a sample of an alternative to try which was very nice so I did order a bottle of 'Quando '. Most tables are in dimly lit corners unless you sit close to the front windows. Potato skins for starter were very nice, served with sour cream. The garlic mushrooms were served on a piece of bread and in a creamy sauce which looked a bit like baby food. For mains, I had the gammon steak and southern chicken skewers...

The Beehive might be a Fayre and Square chain pub, but it's a great venue with both modern and spacious seating, spanning a bar area and a restaurant area, and even an outdoor seating area. The food is excellently priced and decent quality, as are the drinks, with frequent promotions on both, some even depending on the day of the week. They also offer hot drinks by Costa. The staff are friendly and down to earth, and always happy to please. The venue is spacious, has a free car park, an adjoining Premier Inn hotel, and a Wacky Warehouse for the kids to play in.They also regularly host special events such as music and tribute acts, and local groups and clubs such as Slimming World. We have been here a few times now, it's a brilliant place for a pint. We always get great service from Ray at the bar, who's always on point. We would highly recommend.

Good quality, family friendly pub, lots of 2 for 1 offers on meals. A good all round meal out.
