we found this little jewel of a place because my partner had booked us in a similar sounding pub he did not recognize was a 3 hour car away! So when I asked the name to put in the satnav, it naturally brought up the local pub this name. we came, gave our names and of course they had not our booking, we were not yet aware that we were in the wrong pub at this point, but the host could not have been more accommodating. they apologised for the error (our mistake! and found us a seat. the bar area was quite busy and so cozy it was quite loud, we decided to have only a few drinks instead of eating. we explained this to our host who immediately asked to come and see another table to see if it was...
The restaurant is now under new management since September 2018. My first visit was fantastic, we received a warm welcome and the staff's menu recommendations were spot on. The menu was tailored to the season and we were not disappointed. I will definitely be returning. Update: I have returned and had another amazing evening, the wine selection is fantastic.
