So, a lil ' joint in Australia calling itself American food with a name like Love Child and I 'm not gonna go? Don 't be absurd. Small shotgun shop in a strip mall in the suburban sprawl, a couple blocks from the beach, central with parking. Bravo. I entered, was made comfortable by the server and ordered the spicy deep fried vegan burger. There was nothing green or fresh on the menu for a side dish but that 's okay, the patty I ate was juicy, tender, toothsome, textured and off the charts delicious, well crafted and inspired, it is an invention worthy of building an entire restaurant around. Found this gem that has only been open for a few months. Food was awesome, standout was the lovechild burger which disappeared very quickly after first bite. Family also had the tenders and wings which were equally delicious. Finished off dinner with a vegan sundae, yum. What topped off the great food was the attentive and passionate staff, really helped make a great experience. Currently on holidays at Gold Coast but we will squeeze another visit! Can get busy so suggest to book ahead if eating in. Phone ran out of charge otherwise photos would have accompanied this review. Really incredibly small restaurant, completely vegan menu and many gluten-free options also. The Rindburger was fine 4 but the mocktail with the homemade Rhubarb syrup was for to die! If you are in GC and you are not trying to get their homemade Rhubarb syrup in a cocktail/mocktail, then you are missing out Updated by previous review on 2022-08-19

The food is amazing. Mock meats galore. We had all 'chicken ' dishes and were very happy with each. The cocktails we had were amazing as well and of course the staff were friendly and everything came to our table promptly.
