The Mercantile Kitchen

Wonderful ambiance but from the start, the server misunderstood a drink order. They offered to change it but I declined. My food (salmon) was dry and while the vegetables were nicely done and moist in their own right, a sauce or juice would have made the dish dramatically better. Service was prompt and the server came back more than once to see how things were. If I were to go back, I'd have to take responsibility for ordering in greater detail, although I hate to have to deal with it.

I was a bit taken back honestly. The service was horrible. I got freezing cold eggs Benedict about an hour after we ordered the food. My husband got burning hot blueberries on his French toast which tells me it was sitting out and had to get reheated. Yikes. I never got the highchair I asked for. Just a mess overall in the service department and it really wasn’t busy. We drove a long way and were really looking forward to this meal too. Hopefully it was a fluke.

Delicious meal and excellent service. I had the vegetarian “No Huevos” rancheros and my friend had French toast. Both were really good.

Orders took forever from drinks to food. The noise level was so loud we had to shout at each other.

Great location and ambiance. Food was good and plentiful. Could expand menu but reasonable
