This historic restaurant is located below street level. Its vernacular has a cool rustic tavern ambiance. The service was friendly and efficient. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The food was delicious, and the menu varied. The pub was very cool and well stocked.

Appetizers were very good. Main course was average and nothing special, some additional attention to detail would help (for example side potatoes for main were over cooked). Service is great. Next time will order mainly appetizers.

Split calamari, 10/10. I had the tenderloin, she had the ribeye. Not a complaint to be had. Service was excellent, our server made us laugh a couple times. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely a must to go to while in Halifax food is outstanding and service is excellent
