Sundays are busy, and I work in hospitality, but I expected better service.We waited ages to order drinks, waited ages to receive the drinks, waited ages to order food… the food came quicker than We anticipated after the slow beginning. we didn’t get the extra potatoes we asked for, but got extra Yorkies that we were charged for. At for a roast it would’ve been nice if they were free considering they were quite small. The staff were not very engaged and didn’t seemed too fussed about us. When it came to pay we had a side taken off as it wasn’t as described, and a memeber of staff at the bar very kindly took our late drinks and a carafe of wine off for us so this made up for a lot. beautiful inn in the picturesque village firle. chosen best accommodation to live in Great Britain! the ram also has 5 luxurious bed and breakfast rooms, with people from miles around eating high quality restaurant. the workers are helpful and will do everything to help them, and while there is a bit manic at the bar the selection of local ales and perry’s is worth waiting. there are also huge gardens and outdoor seating ideal for walkers, cyclists or seers and it is dog friendly! What can they ask for more?
a beautiful pub in a stunning environment with friendly staff. After a walk we have let ourselves in for a drink and enjoyed their seafood plate and Mediterranean plate. we also brought family members there to Sunday dinner. it is one of these rare country pubs (it seems today) that allow them to sit and have a drink. even if they are busy, they seem to find space in one of their outer areas or many small spaces. I almost didn't want to write a review because I don't want to share!
On a wet day the lamps and candles cast a welcome glow in this characterful building. Staff were warm and welcoming. We shared a plate of sardines. My chargrilled salmon was delicious, and my wife enjoyed her Moroccan style lamb with a salad studded with pomegranite.I drank a glass of picpoule, my wife a glass of Sussex made blush.A very good lunch.
