The Rising Sun - Réserver une table

Regrettably I was late finding this place before it closed. Had a few good experiences there. Did not know what was awaiting when I revisited. To be fair the food and drinks were OK but the atmosphere was severely lacking. The pub was dark. In fact I thought it was closed on arrival! It was cold despite a log fire. We could not take our coats off! The welcome was also somewhat lacking. A real shame as we are local and was looking forward to finding a cosy pub for regular use. Nevertheless I hope the business does well.

One of those places where I wish I could award 6 stars. Lovely, welcoming pub, super friendly and helpful staff, lovely fire in the winter and to top it off the food is amazing. It's apparent that a lot of care and attention has gone into the whole menu. Terrific pub.

Our first visit to The Rising Sun and it was well worth the wait. Lovely atmosphere, food was perfect and the service was spot on. You won’t find many better restaurant in the area. Oh, and the walk home was an added bonus across the levels on a crystal clear night.

What a treat! You drive down what seems like a hunting road and happen across this little slice of authentic, historic pub except that it’s not pub food.. it’s delicious quality restaurant food. A great find.

Great 15th century pub with super staff. Sunday lunch was out of this world, with carve your own meat. Next time we are in this part of the world, we will be visiting
