The Thomas Ingoldsby J D Wetherspoon

Hangry and in need of food we made the walk to the Thomas Ingoldsby even though our party made orders within minutes of each other the food came out in dribs and drabs at temperatures that at best could be described as tepid. We are our food out of necessity as opposed to enjoyment with none of us feeling satisfied with the meal. Only highlight was the included alcoholic drink would expect better from a McDonald’s in terms of meal will head there next time instead.

I visited the restaurant last night and noticed a large group of young people at a big table upstairs. One of the guys was vaping, but the staff didn't say anything to him. Unfortunately, I couldn't order food upstairs and had to go to the bar downstairs to request any modifications to my order. I ended up choosing something else, but it wasn't very hot when it arrived. It seems pointless to have an app for ordering if it's not customizable.

The cappuccino refills were OK, but only after I preheated my mug to help keep things hot. Had the breakfast wrap where everything is tucked inside. The problem was....it was only WARM. Not HOT. They must have made these like a thousand times before so be well practiced in the correct time in the microwave or whatever. Might make me think twice about going again because of food safety concerns.

fantastic chef. the cook here is fantastic, mac ron, it is french. excellent eating, well cooked and freshly made before site highly recommened

Very good value, food well cooked, excellent cod and chips,mushy peas and bread and butter. Quick service friendly staff
