Genessee is listed at Craft ?! Beer selection was irredeemably awful full of very commercial brands and little else Small ice tea is $3.50 . ?Crab ? salad was made from extruded fish paste sticks. Fish Frybwas dry and devoid of taste.Compared favorably with library paste . Decor has all the charm and ambiance of a VFW hall Attitude of the place is summed up by their reply they could be a lot better with a little effort but obviously can?t be bothered. And my reference to a VFW hall was meant to convey no frills meeting hall and amenities no disrespect to Veterans but if you are running a restaurant you again could do a lot better if you tried just a little bit . The worst service I ever had in a restaurant. With my two children a bit before 5:30 on Tuesday. We were placed in an empty part of the dining room. I saw a four-strip, got drinks and order food. Eye contact with the waiters, but no approach. Then I saw a 5top (family of 5) sitting in our same section and bringing drinks to them. 25 minutes later, just sit here and come by several times, and I'm out. Pro Industry Tip: Train your servers to check their sections, and train your hosts to communicate with the servers that they have a table in their section earlier than half an hour.
The service in the dining room was very slow. I asked what kind of soup she answered the waitress, I don't know. I had to literally ask her to check. Then she came back with the kind of soup, but didn't know what was in it. I had to ask twice for my check, go to the register and go for boxes, the food was fair. I think this is a great bar to get a drink or two, play some darts and have a snack. I changed this review because I thought I was not very clear at the first booking.
The Thirsty Turtle is home to the best dang chicken I've ever had the joy of eating, Dicky's Fried Chicky. It may be a 30 minute drive but the chicken stays hot and crispy all the way home. Prices are excellent and the food keeps me coming back. My advice is to buy the 9 piece for yourself, grab some brioche rolls from them or bring your own, make some sandwiches and put the leftovers for lunch the next two days.
