We both ordered Reuben sandwiches customized to our liking and the cream of carrot soup was delicious! The service was friendly and efficient. The exterior of the restaurant was unassuming, but the interior had a warm and cozy cafe style. The coffee was also good and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this place. Their breakfast options, which include coffee, are only around $7.
Family run place with homemade food and lots of local flair. Not the place to go if you're looking for trendy or fancy decor, but the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Small place with lots of take out. Worth the stop, don't let the facade scare you away. Apparently the Friday special is burger and fries and they are delicious! Plan to go back one Friday soon to give it a try!
Our first time in Kenora and breakfast at the Uptown Restaurant was very good. The waitress was very friendly and suggested the breakfast special. My husband had ham with his special and it was very tasty. I asked for crispy bacon and I got crispy bacon. Not a lot of places will do that. Not a fancy place but good food.
We frequently have breakfast at the Uptown and it is always good. A friend of mine says the Eggs Benedict are the best around. Service is good as well. They serve all-day breakfast, which we like. Even got a sample of their Dill Pickle Soup recently. Didn't expect to like it but was pleasantly surprized. Réservez une table maintenant
The Uptown doesn't look like very much from the outside and the inside decor isn't anything fancy but the food is really good! Homemade burgers and fries, lunch and all day breakfast. Awesome! Uptown burger is so tasty with a really nice fried egg on top. Will definitely be back to have that again!
