Whoop Dee Do Hot Dogs

Stopped here a few days ago with friend, Demanding Dan, who read about it in the Journal Inquirer. I'll call it a Pop Op, as the proprietor, Norm, seems to be retired, and getting a little long in the tooth. He's open from 11AM until 2ish, even in the winter if the temp is at least 40. The operation is under a tent in front of Norm's home. The dogs are Kayem which, incidentally, are served at Fenway. Norm's prices are a whole lot lower than those at Fenway Paak, though. He grills them, and also grills the Freihofer buns. Numerous choices for sides. I had a chili dog, and two w sauerkraut. DD had a chili dog and a cheeseburger. The beanless chili is homemade, and very good. The menu is eclect...

Went for the first time today when another restaurant down the road had their open sign out without being open... didn’t realize this place as open yet! We happily turned around and came here. We ordered two deluxe double cheeseburgers with bacon and a dog, wow were they good! I’m a s for a good burger. We will be back!

Be aware call first. Sometimes they are not open even when their hours say they are.We have been disappointed twice. Have never actually been able to try it out.
