I can't believe it took me this long to try the Yankee bean. I've wanted to since it opened and finally made it. They knocked it out of the park in terms of quality and inventiveness of their soups and sandwiches. I started with a Thai coconut chicken soup that was phenomenal. Even the super quality oyster crackers they served with it were a cut above the usual ones. I followed up with a curried chicken salad on pumpernickel that was perfectly seasoned, lots of chicken and such fresh bread. Love this place! The food always tastes fresh and the staff is so friendly. I usually take it to go, but I recently sang with a friend and it was a great experience. We wanted to try the cabbage soup, but they ran out. The waitress was so sweet and gave us a little sample taste of what was left. It was really good, but between the two, my favorite is the Yankee bean soup. I saw a different evaluation and didn't know they had Thai chocolate chicken soup. I can't wait!
