at the huge hot day we arrived, le robinson seemed like an oasis of rest and cool. at the river, it was a bit cooler, I thought. surrounded by massive palms, le robinson has a real tropical mood and once. when we climbed to the bamboo terrace, we felt really exotic somewhere. as well as eating! it is a vegetarian buffet extravaganza! they invite their plate, sneak an extra spring roll, among the adler eyes of the owner and then they cheer the size of their plate. the selection of dressed was impressive and all colorful and imaginative and homemade. the vegans in our party received their own falafels and then could eat anything else, quite a lot. we all had teeinfusions in large glass cups I recommend; herby and tasty. it is a wonderful, eccentric place and worth a visit!
last Friday we had lunch at robinsons with some vegan friends, the decor is amazingly so unusual. the owners were so friendly and speak well English. the lunch was a buffet with a large selection of vegetarian and vegan foods. I think it's a little over price and the wee is very expensive. but overall I would recommend it very much.
we were in albi for lunch and decided to eat somewhere. looking for vegan options we found this beautiful place where we get the warmest welcome from the owners and their employees. the location is excellent, view over the o...Tarn river in albi. it was a cold rainday, but we sat in a beautiful small room surrounded by windows and it could not have been better. it was a buffet lunch with lots of delicious food to choose and how much is up to them they have the choice of a €5, €10 or €15 euro teller size, which is ideal as they are as little or as much as they want after plate size. there was a hot and cold buffet. I had the cold and the choice for a vegan in France was wonderful. my man, who is not vegan or vegetarian, enjoyed his hot choice as much as I enjoyed my. I had a glass of red that was delicious and we both had a nice coffee afterwards. the restaurant is seasonal and we will definitely return. I loved it!
It's worth persevering to find this restaurant (signpost to a riverside path parallel with rue Edouard Branley). The setting, overlooking the River Tarn, is delightful and the overall ambiance very pleasant. The menu' is a running buffet: select a plate of size/cost to suit you,...and help yourself (once). What makes this four-star is not that every one of the plethora of dishes is haute cuisine though nothing was other than very nicely flavoured; but the range of veggie and vegan options is splendid and rare to find elsewhere and, moreover, the options included some protein through quinoa, dall, humous, tofu and cheese. Warm welcome from the hostess who identified all the dishes for us. We'd certainly re-visit Le Robinson.
Just back from an evening here with the family,how disappointed were we.... We walked down during the day and agreed it would be a lovely spot for dessert and a drink. Unfortunately we were greeted with a very rude waiter who explained we required a...reservation even though the place was empty. We should have left but we're escorted to the back of the restaurant and insulted for not having made a reservation...what a smug waiter....no wonder the place can't fill. Such a waste of location....good manners are always a pre_quisite in a restaurant as far as I am concerned.
