What a terrible place. Service: really poor, we arrived, was seated and given the menus. Another couple arrived and were instantly given a drink. We ordered and their food arrived before ours, guess they don't like foreigners.The food: it couldn't have been any worse. We ordered a trio of gambas between the two of us then a spiced salmon tagliatelle and muscles with cream. The gambas must have well past their use by date as all you could taste was rotten fish. The salmon was a disgrace over cooked and well over spiced, why do you need to hide the wonderful taste of salmon? The muscles....... well I can only think they were under cooked or just not cooked at all, they were white and not the orange they should be. Most weren't even open......what a shame. The quality of the food, presentation , service and value was really fantastic. We throughly enjoyed the lunch special menu and when the bill arrived were astounded at the value for money. With the exchange rate being significantly lower than this time last year it is quite important.The location of the restaurant is ideal, with open vistas of the sea and town.
nous avons déjeuné ici quelques jours avant Noël. le service était correct, quelques sourires supplémentaires de la part du serveur auraient été bien. la pizza était vraiment bonne, le café-gourmande aussi. nous n'avons pas du tout aimé la sangria, mais il l'a repris sans se plaindre ! pas à la place supérieure, mais ok pour un déjeuner.
ma femme et moi avons récemment visité l'Espagne, Andorre et la France pour nos vacances. après être partis de perpignan, nous avons longé la côte en direction de tossa de mar, en Espagne. pendant le trajet, nous avons arrêté de voir en chemin et avons décidé de déjeuner à...Banyuls-sur-Mer lorsque nous sommes arrivés dans la petite station balnéaire, nous avons vu une série de restaurants le long de la rue sur la plage. la marenda avait l'air vraiment sympa avec des tables et des parasols juste à côté de la plage. les perspectives de notre table étaient incroyables. notre serveur est venu et a pris notre commande de quelques bières Amstel et nous a acheté un bol oliven pour obtenir. Une délicate attention. la pizza était aussi très bonne. Dans l’ensemble, nous avons tous les deux apprécié notre déjeuner rapide à la marenda à Banyuls-sur-Mer et vous l’apprécierez.
we are only for one night in banyuls and had consulted tripadvisor for eating. we have literally read the terrible critique of yesterday when we were greeted by a friendly waiter who allowed us to choose a table. I went for the 25 €...Menu and man decided to have a whole grilled fish. my cuddles with garlic and cheese and risotto with skalopps were the most beautiful eating I had so far on this holiday. husband fish tasted really good and they made a small green salad to go with. dessert was chocolate lover who was delicious! in the run of time we were very well looked after in an increasingly busy restaurant. we loved it.
the food was excellent scallop rissotto john dory fillets in a cream of austere sauce, delicious!, so no problem with the kitchen. it is the complete lack of being made welcome and then try to be served that this caffe / restaurant. on a first-class position on banyuls at the sea. they obviously make enough money from tourists during the season that they do not care about the service and that is a great shame.
Ate at this restaurant on the first night of our holiday in Banyuls so really looking forward to some seafood as it is situated on the beach. The moules were served in what can only be described as a few spoons of seawater that I...doubt had seen any white wine or shallot. They were dry and poorly cleaned and had very little taste. Had to ask several times for water and bread the latter of which never arrived so gave up asking! A meal in France without bread is sacrilege. We certainly won’t be eating here again
