The restaurant is on the smaller side, but don't be deterred by the exterior and interior, as it could use a little updating! We were seated upstairs and ordered two platters priced at £29 each. Each platter included 4 kebabs, 4 chicken wings, 4 boneless chicken pieces, chips, lamb curry, chicken curry, and naans. The platters also came with poppadoms and various sauces. The portions were so generous that we ended up taking some leftovers home! The kebabs were tasty, though the chicken starter items were a bit dry and had a strong tandoori flavor. However, both curries were excellent and delicious.
Since chef Ebby left this place has gone downhill. Food is tasty but as previous reviews say the owner is so stingy with portions of meat or chicken. He charges 7 to 8 pounds a dish . You would be lucky to find 100g of meat or chicken.... Chicken breasts in Blackburn costs £4 a kilo... imagine his profit margins ...Mr Mohammed sharif if your reading this increase meat/chicken to at least 250g ....weigh it if you have too. This will bring back a lot of your customers
After trying takeout from this restaurant a while back, I decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, I regretted my decision as the curries were still lacking in flavor and the portions were small. I ordered the karahi ghost and chicken tikka masala, but the karahi ghost had very little meat which was tough, fatty, and lacking in taste. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
I live 3 miles away at Brownhill and they don 't deliver, pity because I like the food. Used to visit regularly as I know the chef Ebby, can 't do visits anymore and when I tried to order from hungry house I got the reply 'we don 't deliver to your area ' I 'm just past the brownhill roundabout and have had takeaways delivered for tuther side of town???? We were having a party for 12 and ordered curries and chicken tikka rolls, we picked up the food and the rolls were very cold, soggy and there was only a few pieces in each. After spending £50, i rang the takeaway to explain and he wasn't very apologetic. He was happy with me not going there again!
The service is absolutely rubbish never deliver on time. They should be more careful in making the food there was a long hair in the lamb karahi completely put us off eating ruined it. Tandoori was so dry and burnt and cold. Just interested in taking money no care for the customers.
