Warm and inviting. My server went out of his way to teach me about the types of local wines and made me feel welcome. It's in a very nice neighbourhood that is not already over full of wine bars.

Ended up just having a bottle of wine as this place just serves burgers. We hadn't realised this and was looking for something a bit more refined. The wine was lovely and the burgers looked good. Just wished it was a bit more obvious this was just a glorified burger bar as we wouldn't have sat down.

Huge wine selection and you can peruse all of the wines on offer by just looking at the bottles displayed on the wall with their prices on them. Plus, I loved the self-service wine dispenser (obtain the card with credit from the bar staff). The had a range or local and international wines on offer, ranging from a few Euro per tasting to upwards of €11+ per tasting measure. We didn't eat here, just stopped in twice for some tastings and a cheeky glass or three. Loved the set-up and would definitely return if I went back to Bordeaux.

We came into the place as recommended by TripAdvisor, it's a cool place that serves all types of wine and cold food. Everything was delicious. The menu is short but good. Some fusion dishes and great cheese and cold meats. Huge selection of wines and a a device where you can pick the wine and the size of your glass and be served by yourself by charging the prize to a card they put in your bill later. Good idea!

At our visit July 17'th we where asked for a reservation, had non but they should make room for us.Nice, but after ordering food and wine. The group entered from somewhere inside the Venus. So we haven't a clue how the wine or food tasted as it became like eating in Kindergarten. So investigate if there are any groups planned before you enter!Lars Ericson Sweden

This wine bar is a bit out of the way, roughly 10 minutes by car (and another 15 to try to find parking). However, it was definitely worth the trek for the very personable and unique experience. This is, first and foremost, a wine bar. The concept is quite cool: you are given a card and are allowed to select from 16 different bottles of wine, similar to a vending machine. You can opt for a taste, half glass, or full glass of any of the wines available (bottles of a variety of other wines were also readily available).Caution: you can spend a lot quite quickly as you sample different bottles (priced from about 1.30 to 5.50 for a taste (3oz)). As you settle in to the fantastic old wine cellar, you can quickly move through a fair number of glasses without realizing it.The service was fantastic. We were there at a slowly time, roughly 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got the full attention of the staff, offering explanations as well as recommendations. The food was pretty good, though it is small portions (wine bar food). Unique take on some small finger foods included "faux tapas" and "faux sushi". The terrine of homemade foie gras was fantastic and should not be missed. I wish we had started the evening here with dinner plans to follow, or concluded the evening after a meal. I also wish it was a bit closer to town, but worth driving out (or catching a cab) if you want a non touristy and fun experience.

We went there with a large group (30+) of guys, and the hospitality was a match to the quality of the food; fantastic! From the oysters and the fois gras, to different style of cold cuts and cheeses, and all that topped by delicious wines... we enjoyed every last minute of it. And the staff was very helpful and almost agreed to all of our requests. I can wait to go back to Bordeaux to go there again with my family!

It's not often a restaurant opens it's arms for a group of 30 rugbyplayers on tour. This one however did just that!!We were greeted with great hospitality, not to mention great wines and food.Next time i visit Bordeaux with my wife I'll certainly go back.Just check if there's a reservation made by a rugbyteam ;))
