The restaurant describes its food as Asian street food, but to be honest it felt pretty mainstream; Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng, Rendang etc. We came across the place by chance in the rain and whilst it initially didn't look super clean (it was actually fine) the food and service were excellent. We sat outside (under shelter) and watched the world go by in the square, which was lovely as long as the small birds who occasionally land on the tables don't bother you (Not the restaurant's fault, it can't be helped when you're sat outside). We had 4 main meals, 2 enormous coffees, 2 cokes and 2 bottled beers, the bill was €71.40. The loos were sparkling clean too! A nice alternative in an area that is crammed with pancakes and paninis!

We ate here this week and found the food to be bland ; everything tasted the same. Well presented but lacking flavour of any substance.Male waiter was very kind and helpful - two of us are coeliac - he helped us determine what they could and could not eat.I would go around the corner to a different restaurant with a BRIGHT BLUE DOOR on Rue Saint Colombe if you want good Asian food.

We spent very nice time during our last stay in Bordeaux. Good food, great service, little even if a bit noisy.

This place is in a little plaza with a bunch of other restaurants. Lots of young people and a decent menu of dishes to choose from. As a vegan, there were two dishes to try. I could only try one of them since the other had peanut oil in it. I'm allergic to all nuts. However, the one dish I tried was very good! It was a big portion as well. I used to eat meat, and they offered a few different curries, rice noodle dishes, and other SE Asian dishes. I would only go back if I was craving one dish. You should still give it a try.

We had the best Pad Thai at this fantastic restaurant. Great service and good prices. Thank you Sandary and all the Staff at Santosha

We had hardly finished ordering when we received our meal. I found my Thai beef dish to be quite average but substantial with a large portion of rice which was a bit on the sticky side. My wife did really enjoy her vegetarian dish. This is a cheap place to eat.

We ordered take in from the hotel using UberEats as was craving for Asian food. Delivery was super fast and we had it in less than 20 minutes. The nasi goreng, Indonesian fried rice was pretty nice although it didn't taste like authentic nasi goreng at all (I am malaysian where we have the same dish), but the most deceptive dish was the pad thai. The most un-pad Thai, pad Thai that I tasted. It was a rip off. I would rename the dish fried noodles or nouille sauté than the very deceptive pad thai name it was given. There was no tamarind, no sour or sweetness... This is no pad thai at all. So if u are looking for authentic Asian food, hutong is one of the best in Bordeaux. This is probably adapted to the French taste and doesn't taste like real Asian food anymore! Wouldn't pay 11.50 euros for a dish eventhough portion was very good!

Ate here quite late and although we were willing to pay extra to add chicken to a dish, they refused to do it. Seems just too hard for them to do something so simple like add some chicken to a stir fry!Instead we were told to order a chicken stir fry dish and they suggested the only one they were prepared to make, so no choice at all, just buy what we tell you - great customer service, not!!!The actual dish was disgustingly oily (see pic) and not very tasty. I wouldn't buy that oily rubbish again. Also ordered a Laksa (see pic) which was ok, reasonably tasty but they use stir fry noodles in their soup instead of soup noodles which does not take on the taste of the soup. I've been to Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong so have experienced authentic Asian cuisine and this definitely is not it. I am surprised that other reviewers think it's authentic, they obviously haven't had a proper Asian meal before.Add to this the bad attitude of the staff taking my order (or rather telling me what I can and cannot eat according to their laziness) and I'm never going back there.
