great atmosphere and beautiful outdoor terrace. eating is at the top end of the shame price scale, but then again, so is the quality of the food. so totally worth it. in any case recommend! only critique is that they very sniffingly add a service fee to their bill, although it is not a table service system. this fee is hidden because they have to order and pay at the cash. they present them with the card machine at the bar (they see no postcode). unless you arithmetic is good, that would easily go unnoticed. it is normal for restaurants to add automatic service fee when they offer service and in the rule it is for larger groups. this fee for no service to add and to this untransparent wise,...
Visited here on a Saturday for bottomless brunch with a group of friends, it’s a good location with a chilled vibe and seating inside and out, the balcony provides a good view in the sun. The service was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life and I’m not joking. Drinks were left empty and we placed multiple orders with different staff that never arrived. On our food order allergies weren’t checked and when it was discussed staff were confused and obviously weren’t sure on what was allowed or not. It was an interesting experience, good music good ambiance, the bartender fabulous but it was marred by a group of about 7 old white men, all looked early 50’s..these men were discussing in ear shot how I managed to arrive in the country and how I could afford to even be there quite rudely..the icing on the cake was one of white old men justifying his behaviour by saying that the BBC is racistisn’t that their national media corporation?? Anyways, I had two amazing cocktails, enjoyed the view, danced a little and left. The food is fantastic—I can’t fault it! However, I was disappointed because they got my order wrong. I asked for no cheese and bacon on my burger, which could have been problematic if I had any allergies. Fortunately, I noticed the mistake before I started eating. We made a reservation for a table for two and were seated at the back. After our meal, we wanted to move to the rooftop. They mentioned they had other bookings but would try to accommodate us. This restaurant in Bristol is a lovely spot. While it may not be the most famous or the most impressive, it offers great value for money with a wonderful atmosphere and decor. The food was quite decent, and the service and cleanliness were also commendable. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby, but if the weather is nice, I highly recommend renting a Voi scooter, as there is parking available directly across from the venue.
Staff were really friendly but a bit slow on taking orders, even for a Saturday night. Food was delicious and well priced. The environment was great, a really fun and vibrant atmosphere. Loud music and background noise was high but we expected it due to timings, so not a negative for us (just advice for those dining in on a Saturday evening).
The portions were generous, and they offered an extensive gluten-free menu. The staff were fantastic, and my brother mentioned that he had the best meatballs he’s ever tasted—such high praise! The chicken wings were especially large, enough to feed all 15 of us comfortably, and we were treated exceptionally well throughout our visit.
I visited for a friends birthday and the bar was practically empty with hardly any beers or ciders on so ended up paying £6.50 for a CAN of Thatchers Gold. This was practically criminal.
