My friends ate at this restaurant two days previously and loved it so much that they wanted to return. I joined them on the second visit. Namaste is in a great location, on the edge of the main square in Châlons and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The owners are husband and wife - he was in the kitchen and she was front of house. She spoke excellent English and was able to answer all our questions about the French menus. She remembered my friends from their previous visit and gave them a warm welcome. The food is very typical of what you would find in a good British Indian restaurant, although there were some variations in the names or strength of dishes. We had pakoras to start, which were lovely. I had a jalfrezzi, which was much less hot than the same in England. My friends had butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, which were also delicious. Their naan was apparently divine! The restaurant serves Indian beer (Kingfisher). The meals were very good and cost about €30 per head for starters, main course, a couple of side dishes and drinks. If you fancy something different from French cuisine, this is a good, reasonably priced alternative in a nice location.
