Extremely friendly people. Good breakfast in front of the SNCF station: highly recommanded. Nice place to wait between trains.

I had some considerable time to spend in Chambery station waiting between trains. The station was cozy so I checked on the shops just outside it and to my surprise there were several restaurants among which this Pizzeria was located beneath the hotel bearing the same name. It was an excellent choice for snatching a meal between trains. They provide nice pizza, nice sitting down (inside and outside as well) and in addition they have a bar seating and offer very nice coffee. It is a much better choice to wait for trains than staying in the station itself.

I came across this pizzeria when I changed trains in Chambery. It was just across the station beneath a hotel bearing the same name. You cannot get cheaper prices. On the other hand it did not sacrifice the quality. I think it is a nice place to snatch a bite between trains. The outdoor seating is also nice.

Of all the preset dinners I attended as part of a tour group this restaurant did a decent job of serving dinner.

Do not come here for dinner!!!!! Staff is very slow and rude! Duck is over cooked and is one of the worst I've had.

Beautiful hotel right in front of the train station (I mean right in front of the entrance). Rooms and facilities for a stopover. Typically small French rooms, but still clean and worth the cost.
