The Old Hat - Réservation de table

Great 9oz sirloin steak cooked to perfection, good chips, salad, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes. Red wine sauce/gravy so good I wanted to lick the plate (I refrained as I was in public)! Good range of other food on the menu, plus a specials board. Excellent beers at a reasonable price. Great beer garden at the rear with covered areas. Interesting interior decor, lots of books.

Very disappointing. I’ve ordered from here a number of times and always been pleased. This time however, steak was chewy and over cooked, chips were raw, and cheese had melted all over the box. Got a full refund from Deliveroo. Disgusting and inedible. Also, no peppercorn sauce! You’ve lost a customer old hat. Sort your chef out.

Lunch with a good friend on first day of restrictions..so we sat in the beer garden which is covered but a little bit chilly..lovely special salmon with sauce mash and vegetables plus delicious apple crumble for dessert. My friend had a chicken burger. V nice food! Drinks and ambience good too and friendly staff.

Usually a really nice chargrilled chicken burger with salad, healthy and decently priced. Tonight, breaded deep fried chicken, not advertised on menu, completely different item. If I wanted that I’d have ordered McDonald’s. What on earth is going on, used to be so reliable Réservez une table maintenant

Great customer service especially Denise who helped us find a table inside when it was busy for the six nations final. Great drinks at a good price and always a good time. Missing the live music!!

Fantastic service, drinks great value -staff were lovely and food was excellent. I live near Pitshanger lane but happy to travel here for a decent pint at a decent price and lovely staff

Regularly visit here for food and drinks and they never fail. Really nice beer garden out the back also. Staff are friendly.

Very rude staff. We were bought our main before the started. We took the main back just to be abuswd! It had gone cold. Réservez une table maintenant

Most of the bar staff are unfriendly and some are really rude. They should not be in the hospitality industry
