of us stayed for a night on a motorcycle trip and each part of our stay was fantastic. the check-in was excellent, especially the detail and the choice for the next days breakfast order. we had drinks in the warm and cozy bar before dinner and they had excellent local craft beer on design, which were top notch and very well kept. we went to the pizza deal for dinner....now I'm a massive fan of pizza and a little more familiar and their pizzas were really good! the beds were comfortable, rooms immaculate clean, the shower was a little weak, but it pampered the stay breakfast was incredibly good, well cooked, good quality, much choice and as much as they wanted....but the absolute best part of...

we stayed here for night and the service we experienced was second-no. the place is beautiful with tartan carpets and scottish decor. beautifully maintained and immaculately clean. we loved our room and the room cleaning made sure that we were well equipped with tea, coffee and delicious cookies. we had clean towels every day and were asked daily by the housekeeping when we needed something. nothing was too much annoyed for her. the breakfast was delicious every morning and we were served by a beautiful lady who was very attentive. we had dinner twice in the days we stayed. the quality and standard of eating was perfect. we enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to the return.

We ate a late lunch here after a walk around the Yester area. We were made very welcome. The menu had a range of traditional pub items and the food was freshly made. The fish was perfectly cooked and the pie was full of tender...beef in a rich gravy. Portions are hearty and good value. The Covid related precautions were faultless. A one way system, plenty of sanitiser and contact details taken. All very clean.

snow days means we eat pizza and dinner in the tweeddale this week. lunch menu is a fantastic deal with much to choose. take away pizza is another fantastic offer on a Friday night! dinner was delicious for a Saturday night. great service from the staff as well as the beautiful eating! not a well-rated lunch, service excellent two thin slices of bark and over boiled brokkoli with bistro? carrots and carrots ok yorkshire pud ok not much fry about it! can they be better than that?

Had a lovely meal here last week, one way system in place for covid, friendly staff, very good dealing with allergy questions and the food was lovely, will definitely be back

very friendly hotel with excellent eating in a quiet village. the museum is worth a visit in a short distance.
