This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who said the food and ambience is different to the usual French places in the area. Eight of us decided to give it a try, we were delighted, it is one of the best restaurants we have been to within 30 mins drive from home.We booked a table outside as there is covered, heated terrace that is magical, it has pretty plants, twinkly lights, a collection of typically French ornaments and comfortable seating all enhance the experience. The staff are professional and pleasant. The food is delicious, we all enjoyed various starters including buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes and giant prawns with Thai sauce. Main courses were Dover Sole, a variety of unusual different fish dishes and pork or steak. Finally the desserts which were beautifully presented and included a trio of chocolate, a rumbaba and the traditional cafe gourmand (a cup of coffee with 4 miniature taster desserts). The menu regularly changes to offer seasonal produce, the wines are reasonably priced and the overall cost of the meal was fair. There is a set 3 course value menu for 21 euros for anyone on a strict budget.Booking is advised especially for weekends.
