We were looking for a good lunch in relatively close proximity to the Dunkerque ferry port and found this very nice restaurant. Lots of choices available as fixed price menus from €23 upwards for three courses. The food and service were great and Gravelines also had some interesting attractions for our stroll after the meal.

Have just visited Le Turbot again, our first visit since the new chef arrived, and had a superb meal. We tried different menus and they were all v. good and value for money, not the cheapest meal but well worth going to France just for this. The fish were really fresh and well cooked as were the meats.The. charming waitress who has been there for 12 years was pleasant and well informed. My only small complaint is that they have stopped serving their delicious cheese straws. If your in France for a days shopping this restaurant is a must.

Expected great things and wasn't disappointed - lots of added extras on top of great quality food. 10 out of 10.

A group of 8 guys booked this table. We all ate from the set menu and we all LOVED the food. I personally had the €33 menu, and what a great choice. My seafood plate was delicious, my filet steak topped with Foie Gras was superb, and the cheese board for dessert was amazing. The service was great, lovely quiet atmosphere (despite the 8 of us enjoying ourselves), and altogether a very, very good meal. Thank you - we will return. In fact, one of my friends is booking to take his entire team from work there :-)

Our second visit to Le Turbot was as uplifting as the first. Tucked away in this fascinating fortified town, this lovely restaurant is a delight. For the day tripper, the staff are accommodating with a helpful level of English. The food, chosen from different menus suited to all budgets, is faultless. The service is attentive without being overbearing. We were particularly impressed by a young apprentice waiter, in perfect waistcoat and bow tie, who silently opened Coquilles St Jacques, uncorked an excellent Chablis, and politely offered Grand Marnier with a delicious creme brûlée. Courses were separated by an unexpected but welcome amuse bouche - we were made to feel very comfortable. Definitely worth the twenty minutes from Calais along the A16!

Nothing more to sat 10 out of 10. See you sooner rather than later. Tripadvisor need 100 characters minimum so I hope this sentence takes me over.
