We tried a variety of sandwiches from the lunch menu, all of which were delicious. The soup of the day was also very tasty. The only downside was the new seating and decoration, which transformed the cozy pub atmosphere we loved into a cold and lackluster space that felt like a strange blend of a restaurant and a pub, without capturing the charm it once had.

I went to this restaurant on Father's Day with my daughter, who doesn't eat beef or pork, and we found nothing on the menu that she could eat. The staff were unhelpful and rude. I suspect that the food is microwaved because they wouldn't accommodate any changes to the dishes. I won't be returning to this restaurant.

What’s great about the Sunday roasts: 1 the gravy really tasty and plenty of it 2 the slow cooked pork and lamb is really tasty! 3 good selection of veg 4 if you don’t fancy a roast, other good options are on the menu the Dirty Harry burger is a favourite of my sons! Very pleased this pub is on our doorstep! :

absolutely wonderful sunday roast! slow roast pork is excellent. they also do a massive family-proof with baptism of food in the center for families to serve themselves. very friendly and accommodating staff! will go back : Réservez une table maintenant

Sunday dinner was an unexpected joy. very high quality meat and vegetables, beautifully cooked and presented. definitiw a cut over most pub food and the friendly service and well kept beer made it an excellent choice.

The set up was well organised, ie Staff working their way around all the people sat in the garden. However i did find the Sunday Roast a little bit on the small side, but Food was Beautifully Cooked and Served.

We had a lovely meal with the choir of Great Bowden Parish Church recently. The food is certainly a notch or two up now and I would recommend trying it!
