Traditional French bistro, straight from a film set. The staff are excellent and most speak good English. There is a particular Irish gentleman who translated the whole menu for us, and gave good recommendations on what to try. He had a clear passion for food and helped us take in the French culture. He really helped us feel comfortable with the language barrier and gave great customer service. The food in this bistrot is second to none, with a menu that changes every day, and ingredients picked from the market across the road each morning. The wine is also fantastic. Me or my partner had never really drunk wine before but upon leaving will definitely be drinking it again, even purchasing a bottle to take home, from the bistrot of course. The restaurant can get busy, but the other customers there are also friendly, and they also helped us translate the menu without us having to ask. We were also offered a glass of wine from neighbouring tables on two occasions. Overall a fantastic place in a fantastic area, whether you want to sit outside in the sun with a coffee or have a three course dining experience on a Parisian evening. This restaurant caters for all and is a real gem; do not miss.
