Discovered with our Basque friends, this restaurant is really perfect: excellent food, smiling welcome, beautiful setting, beautiful farm with all beauty...In top of all, we had the right to a small concert before the meal.Highed to restaurants as part of my professional trips, I strongly recommend this restaurant: all products are local, of an incredible quality and cleverly cooked: a regal !out season, it is best to call.

living only about ten miles away, a friend gave me that address. to get there, between itxassou and espelette (d249), a small road that goes up to the mountain pass. a 500m from the department is haraneko Borda. The restaurant is only open on Friday evenings and Saturday evenings as well as on Saturday noon and Sunday noon. Only local products of first quality. kintoa pigs are raised by christian, the boss, intarissable on local productions. ham of course is essential. the cook who had practiced on the Basque coast (to cibour) can draw the best of the fish. the menu is reduced quality of kitchen. well hidden after a steep road with breathtaking views on the Spanish side and tarnished on the French side, it is very surprising to find this super nice restaurant and of very good quality with that regional products thanks to our Basque friends for the reception and this discovery of a former customs smuggling relay.

It is no longer a farm inn but a restaurant where old and modern were gathered in the renovation of walls, to give a spacious and comfortable room where as the kintoa pigs at the reception let foresee the local products taste very well in value in beautiful servings on the map! kintoa ham excellent, banka trout not far from there! Milk lamb in several ways with its new super! and there is almost no place left for cheese or Basque cake! It's very good!

We drove up to this lovely restaurant perched on Ossau Iraty with a superb view and greatly enjoyed our lunch. Being summer it was a pleasure to sit out on the terrace sipping local wines and savoring delicacies prepared with local ingredients. The chef Antoine...Chepy is very talented and his dishes just melt in your mouth. For the tourists its definitely a must and if your are lucky to live in the Basque Country you will end up making it your favorite dining spot.
